Die Pandemie betrifft uns alle massiv im persönlichen und beruflichen Umfeld. Während die zweite Welle hier in Deutschland an Fahrt aufnimmt, möchte ich gerne einige Gedanken zur Bedeutung der Krise und den möglichen Konsequenzen teilen. Dies betrifft meine Erfahrungen als Wissenschaftler, akademischer Lehrer und auch als Arzt.

Alexander Gerbes is Professor of Internal Medicine, Vice Director of the Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Head of the Liver Centre Munich at the LMU Hospital and Honorary Clinical Professor of the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). He has received several awards for his work including the m4 Award for Research Innovation in Personalized Medicine.
Alexander Gerbes has authored more than 250 articles in international medical journals, is co- editor of the renowned journal GUT, a member of numerous professional societies and international committees and Mentor for students of the Max-Weber-Program.
