Helga Meise is Professor for German Literature and the History of Ideas at the University of Reims Champagne-Ardenne, France. She has held different positions as Visiting Professor in France, Germany and the US. In 2015/2016 she was part of the CAS Research Group "On the Production and Distribution of Erotic-Pornographic Literature in the Age of Enlightenment". In her research she focuses on the early modern period, women's literature and writing and reading as cultural practices.
